Your CGM report provides a view of your glucose metabolism over the 7-day monitoring period. Combined with your food tracking, it helps you and your Everlab nutritionist understand how your body responds to food, stress, activity, and sleep.
What’s included in your CGM report?
- Average glucose level — your typical blood sugar over the 7-day period
- Glucose Management Indicator (GMI) and trends — an HbA1c estimate based on your CGM data, plus patterns in how your blood sugar changes throughout the day
- Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) — a visual overview showing when your glucose tends to rise or fall
- Daily glucose profiles — day-by-day breakdowns, especially useful when paired with your food journal
Are my CGM results accurate?
CGMs are highly useful for spotting glucose patterns and trends rather than pinpoint-accurate readings. A few things to keep in mind:
- There is a 2–15 minute lag between actual blood sugar and sensor readings — normal and expected
- Don’t panic at a single high or low reading — look at the big picture over the full 7 days
- Sensor placement matters — avoid muscle-heavy or fat-light areas, scars, tattoos, or irritated skin
- Clean the skin before applying to improve adhesion and accuracy
- External factors like high temperatures, dehydration, intense exercise, or stress can influence readings
When will my results be reviewed?
Your CGM results are reviewed together with your food tracking during your Nutrition Review with an Everlab nutritionist or dietitian. In this session, your nutritionist will:
- Interpret your glucose data in the context of your lifestyle and diet
- Identify patterns, spikes, and areas for improvement
- Create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan tailored to your needs
